I went Joja route for the achievement on my second playthrough, and it took me less than 50 days to complete it. Money is easy to aquire if you know nooks and crannies. Community center took me until summer of year 3 to complete, and i'm happy for all that time
And then do Joja Mart for your 2nd playthrough.
It's good to do both.
1) Autopetters, a pretty rare drop from Skull Caverns, can be bought in the Joja mart.
2) Movie Theater is in a better positioning (old community center, instead of Joja mart).
3) Villagers don't change their routine, routes and schedule (except for Sam and Shane).
4) You can still do some bundles to earn your desired rewards, then proceed to buy-out the upgrade from Morris; all this while skipping the bundles that seem to be too hard.
5) Joja Mart is open all days, Pierre is closed in Wednesdays and they have a tighter schedule, allowing you to visit all day long, up until 23:00 pm. They also sell Sunflower seeds cheeper!
I mean I got 2 Auto petters with +7 luck on a "good luck" day - Kept running into Treasure chest floors.
If your going for a farm that's full of animals, then yeah Joja would be a great option, makes it way easier.
1. they are not that rare, I mean as rare as things get in stardew but not like finding something actually good in a diablo clone rare. if i wanted one I could get one in 15 minutes.
2.) Different not better.
3.) yes if you rebuild something for the community they will use it, is this a pro or a con?
4.) no. you won't get the achieve.
5.) pierre is open on wednesday if you repair the community center. he also sells all seeds in any season after you give him the shopping list from qi room.
Joja is a pure money route. placed there to make it impossible to lose stardew valley, easier to code too. like if you take remixed bundles and eat the legend fish or something I think community center becomes uncompletable.
but if I just wanted the money to beat the game, I'd be done in the first spring.
2. Better for time management, regarding you as a player. It is closer to most npcs and not at the edge of the map.
3. Most people get frustrated with the vast majority of villagers changing their routes and habits, once the old community center is rebuilt. The most noticeable issue, is Clint closing shop on Fridays and gazing aimlessly, at the community center boiler.
4. Of course you don't. That is why everybody needs two runs through the game, for getting all achievements. Ergo, this is a non-issue. You can get the small bundle rewards though while at it and post collecting whatever you need or deem worthy, then just buyout the joja upgrade and be done with it. Most people get very buggged, with the fishing bundles specifically, especially since one of them requires the desert unlocked. You can even finish the Billboard bundles before making the ultimate Joja decision for the extra friendship and all! One can also backup saved game and post getting the community repaired, then revert and get on Joja.
5. Pierre has a strict schedule. Also, he is revealed to be particularly greedy (special order mostly) to the point of annoying a bunch of villagers and insulting you indirectly, on par with the level of Morris or even worse. From NPC dialogues, he is also revealed to be avoiding spending time with his family much or having much free time either, so him remaining closed during Wednesdays, is morally right too, on top of player-convenience with Joja mart clockwork schedule.
The best method is backing your save up, getting the community achievement then reverting and getting the joja one.
1.) I got like 8 of them. i don't consider it very lucky, I just know what I'm doing.
5.) I don't understand, it feels like justification after the fact, you just did what was easier for you, and decided it was morally right because the bushes told you so.
I mean if you want someone to bother you, Lewis has a pretty large laundry list.
whether pierre or Morris are moral people isn't really a factor here.
Pretty sure they've already made their decision based on that.
All the more justification then, preventing him from casually posing inside the restored community center, wearing a smug smile!
