Transferred from iOS to Windows PC and it won't work
I had SDV on my iphone originally and liked it so much that I bought the PC version. I transferred the files, however whenever I load the game on my PC I can click "load", then choose my save file, but then it shows loading in the bottom left corner before the game crashes. In the save file folder it includes:
  • MyName_######_old
  • MyName_######_SVEMERG
  • MyName_######
  • MyName_######_SVBAK
  • SaveGameInfo_old
  • BACKUP_SAVE
  • SaveGameInfo

You cannot do that without alot of messing with the files. You cannot simply transfer save files from one OS to another type of OS. That would be like if i transfered a save file from an machintosh to windows 11. It would not work.I an not sure what files you would need to change, but im pretty sure those operating systems are different enough you would need to mod some files quite a bit to get it to work.

I think a skilled modder or someone good with coding might be able to help you though, if they see your post on here. Good luck.

i seriously doubt if it is possible.

The wiki claims it's possible, but ... I've certainly never attempted it, so I can't verify that.

iOS to PC
Find the saves in iTunes.
Choose the save folder in iTunes and click the 'save' button.
That will save a folder containing two files (both required for the save to work).
Copy the whole folder to your computer's save location.

PC to iOS
If you use mods, remove any custom content before transferring to mobile.
Find the save folder on your computer.
Find the iOS saves in iTunes.
Copy the entire save folder (the one that looks like JonSnow_123456789) into the 'Stardew Valley Documents' panel in iTunes.
Note: there's one folder for each save. You need to drag each of these folders into iTunes, so that the individual save folders are all in the 'root' of the 'Stardew Valley Documents' panel. You can't drag the folder containing all your save games into iTunes.
Click the 'sync' button in iTunes to synchronize your iOS device with your computer. The save should now appear in the game's Load Game menu on your device.

macintosh... oh those words of old..

I've never played mobile, but apparently its possible to transfer from mobile to PC, or switch to PC.. but then again, I've never tried myself.

A google search comes up with a bunch of things about this.. but the most trustworthy I'd believe would be coming from the wiki... maybe this will help.

As far as I can tell, Stardew Valley seems to save data in an XML-like format. (Plain text with tags.) So it should be possible to retrieve that data and frankenstein a working save file, even by using regular Notepad. The problem is that the current PC version is different from the console versions. And even if they were updated, there might be some version specific way of reading and writing the data. For example, I think there are new item tags in 1.6 that weren't present in 1.5.

My suggestion, if you really want to look into this, would be to make a new identical save file on both systems and then compare them. So you start a new save and use the same name, farm type, outfit, colors, pet, etc, on both systems. Another approach is to do that same thing, but with the version on PC that matches the version number on your console. Then after finding the differences, and editing your save file accordingly (make backups obviously), you can introduce it to the old PC version, load it, save over it, update the game and load it there.

Alternatively, if you aren't far in and you don't have a personal attachment to this save, that you want to preserve, you can start a new farm.
