Why do I need to install mods to get such basic QOL?

Then don´t and count the titles, not that hard. Or just rush to get all 8 rarecrows and get the final one which can cover lots more and don´t worry about. Or move to Ginger Island and ignore the farm, leave it for coops/barns, fish ponds and place indoor crops inside sheds or barns. Or plant a gazillion fruit trees which are already more profitable than most crops and don´t use scarecrows.

Really would be nice to have it in-game as vanilla.
Im just looking for this mod and one that shows me weather and luck :)

I agree, as grateful as I am the game is still getting updated with essentially free dlc there is a lot of minor quality of life updates it could use but I suppose it could be a combination of wanting people to either think or to promote using mods/wiki.

What do you mean? Both are seen at the TV that you can place right next to your bed or door on the way out/in.

I know that, but I like them as icons.

I'm probably forgetting my numbers due to old age.
What's the method you have to use to calculate range 6 for diagonal (for default scarecrow) from its 8 range for horizontal/vertical by just counting tiles?

I think the mod you're thinking of is called 'CJB Cheats Menu'

By counting 6 diagonally and 8 vertically/horizontally XDXDXD

I mean, the whole game is divided into titles, if you are having issues seen the total titles in any direction, you can always use items to mark them, or use your hoe to dig the earth and mark them. I mean, you guys have seen the youtube videos? Why you think all those videos have that chess pattern altering between wood and stone fllor titles? It´s precisely for that, to count, I´m pretty sure the people writting wikia articles about map size do measure the map that way.

Speaking of tiles it would be nice to be able to have a visible grid unless I'm missing it already being an option somewhere.

What I normally do is visit that website that lets you plan a farm out, and just draw out my intended garden size/shape and use that to see where the scarecrows would cover.

But yeah, this is like the one thing that I feel is missing from 1.6... CA surely has seen the mods and know there's a desire for it. Why he didn't add it is beyond me.
