1 spare sweet gem berry, what to do? seed maker?
I had 2, I gave one to the statue in lost forest to get stardrop. What to do with the other one? Make seed out of it? I don't need the money from wine.

You can't make wine out of sweet berries anyway. Use it on the seed maker.
I'd make a seed. Though maybe wait for a lucky day, as I've heard you can "fail" and get a wild seed.

Oh, damn, didn't know that. :(

Why would you put it in the seed maker? Turn one fruit you can sell in to one seed that you grow again and then sell?

Put 1 fruit in the seed maker and get 1-3 seeds back. Plant those, get even more fruit, and repeat.

Luck won't help that.
Ship it, you need one for the ship 1 of everything achievement.
I'd just ship it. You can't make any goods out of it and going the seed maker route means you're heading down a path of cycling crops that take 24 days to grow which is boring, IMO. They yield about 125g/day while Ancient Fruit produce every 7 days (after the initial growth period of 28 days) for a minimum of 750g which is about 107g/day (more with modifiers and higher quality fruits or making goods out of the fruit). If you're going to make seeds out of high yield crops, I'd go with Ancient Fruit so it's not as boring only harvesting once a month.

There's another achievement to ship 15 of every crop, so you should get 15, then ship it.

Sweetgems are not required for this achievement.

In that case, ship it.

It literally says this in the opening post...
"I had 2, I gave one to statue in forest to get stardrop"

Thing is, If you don't get 3 seeds from it, you've wasted money. If its got stars even 3 seeds would be a waste of money. If I remember right it costs 1k, sells for 3k with no stars.

The traveling lady shows up twice a week and often sells rare seeds. Sometimes I even get to buy 5 from her on a single day.

Starfruit and ancient fruit just seem so much better.

You can't even use gem fruit in preserve jars either.

I say you should ship it... with the ancient fruit. Blackrom. Two bitter rivals, wrestling with their own attraction to each other.
I used one on a seed maker, and it made me this. "Ancient seeds". Why don't I get rare seeds? Why does that let me grow ancient fruit?
