Yes, I am in summer and I fish before 7:00 PM. So you recommend fishing at the Glacierfish spot?
For those having trouble with the pufferfish, it's important to know that it can only be caught between Noon and 4pm from the Ocean. Even then it's rarely hooked, it took me two sessions to get about 3 of them.
There's an amazing wiki listing every fish and the conditions (like time and weather) for catching it, and a difficulty rating. http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Fish
Only for better quality fish. It's not absolutely required. Dorado are very rare no matter where you stand.
Sorry, I just realized I forgot to give the best advice: FIND RIPPLES. They don't increase the frequency of Dorado, but rather the frequency of ALL fish. So it'll take much less time to find the Dorado you seek. If the ripples are out of reach, fish near them until you see them disappear, then go look for the new ripple spot.

Tip: Do this when hunting for legendary fish as well.
Gr8 but this doesnt answer a 2 year old question. Your comment is irrelevant and most have commented where to find dorado.
