Can't place TV?

So, I had a smelter in the middle of my house, and while waiting and trying to put copper into it, I somehow accidentally picked up the TV you start with (it's called Budget TV). It's now in my inventory, and I can't put it back on the ground.

When it's highlighted on my tool bar, my character doesn't carry it around like other furniture, and when I press the button to place it, I get the little whiny error sound. No TV.

Can't learn new recipes, etc - am I boned? Will I have to restart? :(

you can buy tvs at robins place, the carpenter. make sure not to stand in the way when placing the TV

Okay, figured it out - not sure if I had to edit my save, but I did. The TV was set to canbeplaced=false and placeindoors=false, so I changed those two to true.

The biggest thing I did though was figure out you have to use the mouse to place stuff - I was using a gamepad, but had the cursor off the screen, so didn't see the TV was floating on the cursor. Solved!
