I caught 2 Legend Fish.

I still have to use the pan, after using it once I'll stash it away . This was caught on the same day, not consecutive casts(around 4-6 casts difference I think) and no I didnt move since I was just gonna fish the whole day anyways.

I've caught 3 Legend fish so far in the lake. Sold the first to test, then somehow caught 2 on the same rainy day one regular one gold star. I actually saw a third on my reel but couldn't catch it so they're just rare not unique.

Willing to say that the wiki is wrong in this regard, caught 4 Legends on the same day myself. 3 regular and one gold star.
I kept the gold star for Granging and put the rest in the sell box.

It could be that the intention is that the Legendaries are a 1 time only, but there's a bug somewhere in the code that isn't triggering when you catch one to say "Stop letting the player hook that legendary".

I think it's a bug. And I could swear I saw it being reported as fixed in one of the patch notes.

I would check the bug reports subforum and see if there has been a recent report about this, if there hasn't make one with a link to this thread.

For something you can only catch once, you don't get very much money for selling it plus there's no guarantee way that I'm aware of that allows you to get the gold version.

Seems like it's only about Legend?
I've yet to try with this one but I spent hours (irl) fishing at the same spot I caught other legendary fishes and I've never encountered them again after catching them.

Maybe it's a bug about Legend only.
