What the hell, Robin?
I didn't fix the community center for you to abandon your shop at noon and go hang out there. I got stuff I need you to build.

I haven't run into that one yet, but it really ticks me off when they aren't where they are supposed to be. It took me FOUR days of wasting time running back and forth to get Marnie to sell me a cow. Half the time she was standing in her bedroom, ignoring me.

Some people use the excuse that "it's a small town so store hours are not set in stone." While I agree that there are emergencies, NO store owner would change their store hours like the people of Pelican Bay do. Perhaps we should have a talk with the mayor ....

Agreed. I wanted to buy some chickens when I first became available and each time I went to that lady, she'd never be in her store during business hours. On the third day I went into the general store and wandered into the backrooms and there was the bint doing excercises with her "class".

I mean, really, c'mon. Do your personal business after working hours, ppl!

You guys do realise that she's closed on Monday and Tuesday?

Same issue with Clint, although I think he just goes to see Harvey and maybe I had poor timing but almost every time I went to see him, he wouldn't be there. One day, I made sure I got there super early so I was waiting outside the door from 8am to 9am. At 9am sharp, he just left his house, leaving me stranded there with a lot of geodes in my inventory.

Ya, I checked the day. It wasn't her day off. She just gets sidetracked easily. lol

Yeah Marnie has been closed for me on days she should normally be open, too. I'm wondering if her shop schedule is season dependent.

Once the community center is fixed, everyone gets more time off, such as Clint, who usually always works in his Smith, but now on Friday mornings, he goes to the Community Center. I suppose this is good, that everyone learns to take a break once in a while.

Except for Pierre, he's open seven days a week then. What a workaholic!

He's closed on Wednesdays before fixing the community center, and while he says the shop is open till like 8 or 9, he leaves the counter after 5, which I learnt the hard way.

Oh? Look who's talking. What regular hours do you make sure you're on the farm? What if someone needs an emergency parsnip or bottle of milk? Your hours are so bad people have to wake up before dawn and meet you at the door at 6am! I don't think you have the right to talk down about anyone else's work habits.

I don't run a shop.

Personally, I think there could be some way that ConcernedApe could tweak the game to give some kind of option to buy something even when the shop owner is away when they're supposed to be open. Like MAYBE you could interact with something on the counter and it'll pop up with a text box saying "Would you like to make a request?" or something.
