Hidden paths in the secret forest

Was wondering if anyone has been able to interact with anything in the hidden paths that are in the forest. There are some additional obscured routes that you can take within the trees leading to the southern stumps and this area screams "there is something hiding in here" to me.

This makes me wonder if there is a chest or something that you can only interact with if you are holding the right item similar to the other obscure chests. Thoughts?

The slimes hide there and come out at you. I havne't found anything else.

I know about the quick little paths that lead directly to the south stumps. Off of the western such path you can go east and up into an area thats completly inside the trees where you are hidden from view. Its not much but makes you wonder.

Boxes you can actually interact with would have a hand icon pop up on the curser. Havent noticed anything like that in the trees.
