How can i get white chicken?

Marnie only have brown ones....this is my third year and can only get a white egg from the shop in the forest. is there anyway to get the white one?

Completely random what colour she gives you, though it does seem like a 1/3 chance of it being white.

oh, i bought 4 and it was 2 brown 2 white. oh well, the color doesn't matter anyway

So far, all of my playthroughs have been alternating colors for both cows and chickens. First one has always been white, second has always been brown, then back to white.

It does, for what color of egg they lay. And you need both colors of large eggs for the bundle.

I'm pretty sure you don't. They're both there so you can put either one in. There are more items than slots.

Mauri is right, you don't need both, but if you won't be able to get some of the other itens for a long time and they're your best chance (and usually they are because eggs are easy to get) it does seems entirely randon which color you get, I bought 2 chickens and got 1 of each.

Wow, I had to buy /sell like 10 chickens just to get a brown one.

You don't have to buy/sell chickens to get a different color. When the screen changes to "Choose a Coop for your new [states color] chicken", you just back out and click to buy chicken again and see if it changes color. I did this a couple times to get a white one. No purchase necessary.

Remember, the traveling cart on Fridays and Sundays sometimes sells milk or eggs or a crop. So technically you could wait for an egg of the right type to show up.

Idk why but it just seems to happen from time to time. Sometimes if I click on a thread that was on page 2 of the Steam forums, then hit the back button, it'll bring up threads from weeks ago... not sure what you'd have to do to have one from a year ago.
