Emily and Shane... Some confusion with friendship level.
I'm friends with both Emily and Shane ingame, Emily has most hearts with 8 but.... I'm kinda worried what will happen when they become marriageable if I get them past 8 hearts. :x Since normally for marriageable candidates 8 hearts is max until you give bouquet, then you can get them to 10 hearts... I don't want to be automatically dating them or something once patch hits. .__. Does anyone know?....

Worst comes to worst I'll have to start giving them trash to get hearts down if they go above 8.... >< Sadness.

You can date multiple people but can only marry one. Honestly? Bouquets are redundant and mean nothing. You could just as easily cut them out and just keep the mermaid pendant, and nothing will change.

I don't want to date multiple people or even a single person. .__. I wish I could just marry who I'm with in real life instead. >> But yeah if no one knows I'll just give them trash, simple enough I guess...

I have all marriagable candidates up to 10 hearts before the new patch hits. They simply just remove my last 2 hearts and make them grey. So they most likely will do the same to Shane & Emily.

EDIT: if you didnt know the 8 hearts & 2 greys were recent. Meaning I have 10 hearts for everyone, emily, alex, leah, seb etc. The patch lowers my hearts to 8 and grey out the last 2.

Literally nothing changes other than locking additional romantic scenes. Even though, I'd scarcely call it dating. Do you go to the beach with Haley during weekends? Do you look under the stars with Maru every Sunday? Hell, Alex scene was just a confession, despite the fact THAT YOU GAVE HIM A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BOUQUET INDICATING ROMANTIC ATTRACTION, and various other short comings. In honesty, there is no dating in this game, and thus locking the additional 2 hearts is meaningless because there is no forced choice besides the mermaid pendant.

Well, if your already married, I doubt you would see their "romantic" scenes, as you cannot unlock others nce you are married.

Course, we may be getting Divorce for this very reason

Don't tell people how they should play their game. I don't want 10 hearts with anyone eligable for marraige aside from my Penny, either. If I want to see their 10 heart scenes I'll start a new file and woo them on that file, in an alternate universe where it's not cheating on Penny. You play how you want and others will play how they want.

I've given plenty of bouquets to other and post marriage and nothing ever happened or prevented me from doing that. It's essentially meaningless, a choice that doesn't matter since they all lead to the same outcome...no real repercussions.

Also, I would hate divorce. It probably won't make sense in terms of simulation (Honestly? A story is good when people act by logic and you know, like how people would act in the real world) Saying ROFLMAO and saying "okay" without deep repercussions doesn't make sense at all. For example, rejecting Penny's confession will drop her down by 1500 romance points.

I'm not telling him how to play it, but the end results. In other words, I'm telling him it doesn't matter. In short, most of my raging was at the lack of dating more so than the OP.

No to everything? Lol. Also it doesn't matter if it's meaningless to you, I'm playing my game how I want and my question was a reflection of how I play. All I want is an answer to the question, not whether or not you find it personally meaningless (which ironically enough is meaningless to me. It's just like, your opinion man). I don't want to give a bouquet to anyone, or have the status of dating anyone, or marry anyone in game. I don't want to unlock additional scenes. Simple as that.

Rafein: I'm guessing this is a reply to someone else cause it doesn't really relate to my post.

Kyle Katarn: Thanks for the reply to my question.

I didn't mean to say you should play a certain way. I am sorry. I didn't mean that. My complaint was a rant to be levied against CA, though I don't think he deserves it seeing as this game is a work in progress.

It's ok. I wonder when the new patch hits... I hope he lets us move buildings mostly. ^^;

After the patch, I feel like Emily and Shane will be at 8 hearts. Kinda sucks since I have 10 with both. X_X
Kurzidan Apr 18, 2016 @ 12:03pm
I can attest that Haley was at 10 hearts and alex was at 9 hearts pre-patch and no bouquet.
After the patch hit, Haley's 9 and 10th heart were grayed out, and her rank on the social board was dropped to below that of other 9 heart and 10 heart individuals. Meaning that she was recognized as an 8 heart.

Alex was the same way.

The only candidate that was above them was Abby, whom I had recently slapped in the face with a pack of cheap flowers her dad sold me.

im confused the patch hit and the hearts haven't been grayed out
