Which should I sell to?

You need use the shipping box to get achievements related to selling stuff. For example, ship 15 of every crop.

I would use Pierres if you need the cash that day. Since the shipping box only gives you the cash after you sleep. But if you need those crops for an achievement, use the box.

Use shipping box all the time if you are achivement-complete kinda guy. Well Pierre is not a bad choise either (e.g. for selling Starfruit, since you money that day to buy another Starfruit seed ).

There's no reason to haul everything to shops to sell it unless you need quick money for some reason. Shops only buy thier relevant products (Pierre's = crops, blacksmith = gems/ores/bars, carpenter = wood/stone, etc) so it's much simpler to just toss everything in the bin. You get the same amount of money in the end.

You can't sell everything to the shipping box.
Weapons can be sold at the adventurer guild.

There's one exception: I went to the oasis and bought lots (I mean 200 or so) omni geodes there. Then I went on a lucky day over to Clint's, to have them split up. As there are 53 different minerals and also some ores, artifacts and other items you can get, you run out of inventory space pretty fast, even with the biggest upgrade. Then it makes sense to sell some of the minerals, you don't need for the museum directly to the blacksmith. That way, it's quite easy to complete this collection (although I had to buy about 800 geodes to get a prismatic shard).

I heard only difference of selling crops at Pierre's is villagers comment on how they bought X crop or whatever in dialouge etc

I prefer the box since you are able to sell anything(apart from tools) , while Pierre's is more specific like crops and animals products

Wow, I did the same, but bought 25 geodes from Sandy. Got the Shard at the 23rd geode. I had to sell all the gems and whatnot because I already had the shard before. If only I could get the last 4 artifacts I'm missing to complete the museum collection. And yes, I sell everything to the bin (at least to have it sold at least once and appears in collectibles menu).
