You can sell nearly everything in the game, aside from tools and furniture. Shops buy for the same price as shipping. The only difference is getting the money now VS later.

It's possible to sell wood but in my opinion it's neither worth it nor advisable unless you create a full on wood farm.

Wood sells for a measly 2 gold per unit so you'd need to sell a lot of wood to make a decent amount of money in comparison to the time needed to grow the trees and the time it takes to harvest them.
Also, farm buildings and their upgrades take quite a hefty amount of wood so selling your wood stash may delay your future farm development in the long run.

Personally I wouldn't even sell it. You will never know when you need it. I currently have 4 stacks of 999 pieces of wood. Well maybe the fact that I'm a hoarder says a lot, but I'm just being safe. xD

If you want to sell wood, it's best to plant trees in a Tree Farm.
Once you level up enough you can choose a profession, choose the one that gives you +50% value to wood.

Then you can maximise your profit from it. :)
It takes a lot of stamina to chop the trees down though, so make sure you have enough food to replenish it.

Thanks all for your tips and suggestions, i just had a lot of suprlus whilst im saving up 4k for my coop so i will sell a bit and keep most.

I would not sell your wood. Save it for buildings, there are far better ways of making money

I made the huge mistake of selling my hardwood the first game DX

Don't sell it. You use wood for pretty much everything.
