To be fair my initial instinct was that Pierre and Willy would pay more and/or selling to them would provide some relationship points, so I sold all my fish and foraged goods to them for most of my first year.
Not really Pierre and Willy pay the same as shipping your items do, the only difference is you get the cash right away when you sell to them while you have to wait for the next morning if you ship them, but I've never really found myself in a situation where I needed the cash right away so it's a bit of a moot point.
