TimeSpeed has settings that change the time you have in the day. I use it mainly to make indoors have vastly slower time scale so I can feel free to explore houses, (a toned-down variant upon Harvest Moon,) but you can set it to make the rest of the game slower, as well.
Yes, it's "making the game easier", but this is not a game of challenge so much as expression, so if not having enough time is standing between you and having fun, go for it.

It allows you to make MASSIVE machine chains, all connected to one chest. Like say you have a lot of Kegs. Have them all touch each other, with one touching a chest. Drop Starfruit into the chest, and all the connected Kegs grab one fruit. And whe the wine is done, all the wine goes into the chest, and the Kegs grab more Starfruit.
So you don;t have to fill and empty every machine when they are done. SImply keep the chest filled, and remove and sell your wares when done.
I think that is a horrible idea some of the mods aren't even that game breaking. I'm using only two mods and both of them aren't game breaking at all. The first one is a mod that lets me label my chests so I can remember where I put my stuff. The other is small mod that just lets me quickly stack items from my inventory into a chest. Both are features that I feel should have been part of the game from that start. So why should I lose my in game achievements just because I use mods that aren't game breaking in anyway.
Also before anyone says anything I own the GoG version of the game.
This thread isn't about achievement-hunting, though. It's about someone wanting to play a game that's not inherently meant to be all that stressful in a way that helps them enjoy it stress-free.
The mod I highlighted really doesn't directly help you complete any achievements, anyway: Time stops when playing Journey of the Prairie King. Polyculture, monoculture, getting chef recipes, etc. are all based upon days of time, rather than time in a single day.
Time is already infinite, in the sense that the game never ends, and you always can do more tomorrow or next week or next year, and the evaluation can be restarted whenever. There are no deadlines on any of these achievements to the best of my knowledge.
The only thing slow time really helps with is making friends (less missing them for the day). Maybe sort of fishing, as well, since you need to hit some fish up at certain times of day, and slow time means it's less likely to miss the pufferfish's small window, although those are sunny day fish. Simply having more time doesn't help land fish, though, so fishing mods make things different, there.
And, I'll point out, if people are modding the game so much to cheat achievements, then it seems odd that there are 7 achievements with less than 1% completion, including the "beat Journey of the Prairie King" achievements that you can beat the first day you get really good luck. (Which I did - beating the game was my second achievement, after the "catch 10 fish", before I ever looked at even a portrait mod.) A majority of players simply don't play for cheevo hunting, even if they did have tools to make it easy. Nobody but you cares about your cheevos, anyway, so if you feel your cheevo was illegitimate, then you've done nothing but disappoint yourself.
Though for this game im really glad sprinklers exist and I dont have to check on my animals everyday to keep them happy. It really gives me time to work on being friends with people in the community. ( to which I also dont have to talk to them every game day either to maintain a 10 heart friendship )
My suggestion is to just take it easy and definitely invest in sprinklers and upgrading the hoe and watering can if crops are taking up most of your time. ( Iridium sprinklers sell for 10k each friday in the sewer if you have it unlocked ) As for pets the hearts wont decay fast so just upgrade your barn make sure you have enough hay, put a fence around the barns/coops and plant some grass and then open up the barn/coops and you are good to go.
"why do i want animals? crops make way more money"
"why do i want to sell my animals? spend all that time raising them only to sell them? They can keep making me money"
You should consider you playthrough like it was your life. Idk how old you are but im going to assume 16 as an example. You have school, participate at a club after school, go to music lessons after that, have a part time job, and still come home to homework. You are living life to the fullest but if its getting to be too much its time to cut a few of these activities.
I think its time to play this game another way. Take the next few ingame days to rearrange your farm and maximize its efficiency. You mention your animals so you must be a rancher. Sell some of your live stock and focus on mabey 1-2 barns/coops. Have all your machines in one area. In my ranch i run in almost a circle. Go west to tend to my cows/hens go north a lil and dump the products in the machines go east and grab my horse then head south and out of the farm to the forest to cut more hardwood. Im in and out with all chores done by 1pm.
Ensign, I'm 22 and had to move in order to finish my degree. I'll be working/living here for the next five years. Exciting but stressfull. My furniture comes today, so my cat and I have been sleeping on the floor, don't know ANYONE, and I'm lost every time I try to go somewhere. My first trip to Walmart was an experience, well getting there and getting back home was. I make friends easily so I'm not worried about that part, but everything is new including the cable stations!
I have the sprinklers and I did play this morning. I only left the farm to go visit the Wizzard and go see the pig cart lady. I do have more money in this game now then at first, so no stress there. I don't like milking cows, so I think I will sell a couple and only keep a couple. So of course, last night one of my cows gave birth! Going to click the no pregnancy thingy on the rest of them and see them off. I don't mind the one sheep I have. Oh, and I have a pig so I'm picking up pig poop - or is it "truffles"? lol I'm not crazy about the chickens either, so I'm thinking I will get rid of a few of them. Maybe just keep a void egg if I ever want another void chicken, but I don't find much use for it. The rabbits are okay and I kinda like the ducks.
Sorry, I guess I'm planning out loud here. The gist of it is I need to keep my farm somewhat simple as my rl is going to get crazier (maybe?), and I can see it is transferring into my game. Thanks everyone!
