Why I always gotta be snoopin'?
So, I walked into Pierre's shop because I noticed it was Abigail's birthday, amethyst in hand. Suddenly, the screen goes black but for a "skip" button, and I'm apparently sneaking into Pierre's room looking for porno mags. I agree not to rat him out and he agrees not to be mad about how I was inexplicably traipsing through his room, but... WHY WAS I rummaging through his room?

The player character does an awful lot of really shady stuff at the starts of these events. I'm always assumed to just be diving in a bush, creeping up on people while they talk to their dog about how much their father beat them or confessing or not confessing their love for someone...

But I don't even get a choice! I don't even snoop on people when it's not a cutscene (mostly because the clock runs, and I only get 42 seconds to the game hour, and I'm NOT wasting half an hour I'm never getting back just to run check what's in Haley's fridge...)

It's just assumed the player will be hiding in bushes for no good reason no matter what!

How come the characters look different in your screenshots than in game? Is that a mod of some sort?

I'm hoping that a future character is some sort of WITSEC-equivilent NPC. Oo, what neat gossip he or she would have.

Ahhhhh! I love some of them!! No offense to CA or anything, but some of them are just KYAA! Couple of questions about those, though. One, could I just copy some of them into the game and not all of them? Also will it ruin my saved games I am already playing?

Also another question. Is there a way to install a second "copy" of the game on the same PC? Like in a different folder or something? A clean install, not a copy/paste of the version I have been using.

I could understand the story behind most of the snooping events.

But the one about pierre's bedroom really messed with me.
What the bloody ball was i doing?
I was literally sitting here with my arms raised being confused out of my mind.

"Where am i going?"
"why am i in here?"
"HOW DID I KNOW THAT WAS THERE?"
"YOU DID NOT SEARCH. YOU WENT STRAIGHT FOR IT!"
"Stash? The f... What stash? what kind of stash are we talking about here?"

.".'your wife deserves to know!' Seriously, what is this stash?"

1. Download the packs you like.
2. Find your game files (right-click Stardew Valley -> go to local files -> browse local files)
3. Cut-and-paste the downloaded .zip files to your Stardew Valley folder
4. Extract to its own folder
5. Go to Content -> portraits, and make a new folder called "backup", and move all the characters whose portraits you want to replace there. (The files are all named stuff like "haley.xnb", so you can individually pick-and-choose which gets replaced.)
6. Drag-and-drop the character portraits from the extracted portrait pack's folder into the portraits folder.

Also, there are pet and animal sprite replacements that work the same way. (I have a gray and black cat now, like my real life cats.)

Thats adorable m8. I just dont see why weed would be a thing you'd hide from your family, and they wouldnt know you smoked it. I mean symptoms are pretty obvious. And he runs a store almost every day.

So imma hop on the "porn" bandwagon.

Yah, I saw the animal ones too. They're so cute! But is there a way to make a copy of the game in a different folder on my hard drive? That way I can have a game with the old portraits and one with the new ones. Yes, I'd be starting over on the game with the new ones. I'm a sadist like that. *sheepish*
