how deep is this game?

Depends, I have played quite a bit of it and there are many different things you can do. Also a search for secrets as big as the lost. So up to you. I would say yes.

Well if you have ever seen anything about Harvest Moon games, it is basically that. Obviously some differences, too, but in short you are going to do daily routines through the various seasons. Plant some crops, tend to them, sell them. Go into a mine, do very basic combat, get some ores + treasures. Go fishing. Talk to NPCs, give them gifts, get rewards.

Just depends if you like that kind of gameplay. It has a lot more to it, but boiled down that is the basics and it is repetitive in the since that you are doing that sort of stuff each day. So if that kind of thing interests you, it is a very fun and livingly crafted game.

But depends what you are looking for and what other games you having in your mind that it is up against, etc.

on the surface its a simple farming game, however it has alot more to do. More of a casual Rpg than anything. Worth its price more than probably any other game ive bought though

Yeah I haven't played enough to feel a need for mods, but there are definitely some out there. Many that just change how portraits or animals look, some that tweak the game (let you change how long a day lasts, see NPCs locations on the map, grow crops any time of the year, etc) , and of course outright cheats like giving you any item.

I figure that sort of thing will get better over time, but it is possible to do quite a bit.

There's nothing to discuss. You want to know if it's a good game. That's what reviews are for and with 23 THOUSAND of them, I'm sure you can find one or two to relate with.

there is a mine with basic combatt in it similar to liek the old legend of zelda games... there si a simple quest board system... it has a pretty good fishign mini game... you can build buildings and make your farm look nice which no other farm sims really give you freedom to do... its one of the best harvest moon like game si have personally played...

when you say build buildings. are theypreset? Kinda like assassins creed? hwere they have a pre set location and you "build" aka unlock them?
