If you want some guidance, choose the Community Centre path. Having to complete the bundles will force you to try a lot of things (growing lots of crops, raising many different animals, fishing a lot, mining a lot, etc).
If you want to explore your options at your own pace, do whatever you want and skip things you don't want to do, buy a Joja membership so that you can unlock things via money alone.

But feel free to ask questions and the people here would be happy to help you out, no matter the question.
I really recomend to be really flexible with money, When I started to play I used to acumulate more and more money to do nothing with it, try to invest, at the end the mayority of mecanics in the game end up paying, some take more time than others obviously but is the best thing just to try, experiment with everything so you can acumulate more and more knowledge, I also recomend to play until year 3 and restarting, it sounds like a bad Idea, but trying to play again with your new experience is really refreshing because you can do a whole lot of things faster and in a more effective manner.
Hope it helped
if you end up liking the game you'll play through it more than once anyways and restart it sometimes at a point and it'll not matter... so for now just take it in. :)
Most of these are to optimize your game play, kinda like min/maxing for this.
With this I found myself trying to plant the "best" crop and the right time while only going fishing or into the mine at the "right" time.
I ended up just starting over and playing super casual. I found I liked the game better this way. I didn't feel rushed to do certain things at specific times.
The great thing i found in this game is that no matter how you want to play it, that option is there. You can play super casual, you can go for the most efficient route, you can even speed run the game if you want.
What I do now kinda just depends on my mood. I like to find something to build and go from there to get the supplies for it.
The latest thing I do is use the farm planning tool site to create a farm I like then use that for a blueprint to model my farm after.
I guess one tip I kinda always do is I don't chop down all the grass on my farm until I build a silo. This is just to collect hay.
My first farm went the middle of year three or four, can't remember which and did a lot of learning with probably well over 100 hours on that first farm alone. Not a lot was 'accomplished' on that farm other than learning the basics.
After that I just spent a lot of time playing on the non-standard maps and figuring out how I liked to play the game.
You can read all the guides and get all the tips you want . . .but honestly it kinda takes away from the experience. I would definitely recommend keeping the wiki handy to answer basic questions, but other than that. Jump in and just, relax with the game.
In the same vein as Super Smash Bros had years back with the guys who preached "Final Destination. No items. Fox only." as the ONLY way to play. (These were people you'd want to ignore soundly)
Mostly, just do what you want. You're not in a huge hurry.
------
But since you did ask for tips, I have a couple:
One of my first tasks in a new playthrough, is to collect 50 wood and make a chest.
You're usually going to want to try to store at least one of each item, as some are used for the Community Center bundles, some are for gifts, some for crafting, etc.
(Through a playthrough, I usually have one chest for main things I use very often (lumber, stone, fiber, hardwood, honey, ores (copper, iron, gold, etc), and so on.
I have another chest for Forage (nuts, seeds, fruits, sap, mushrooms, etc).
And another chest for Fishing things (a few fish I need, Coral, spare lures, bait, and crab pot items)
One chest for gifts I often use.
And finally, I make a few spares for things like furniture storage, crop seeds, hats, and anything else I might need to hang on to)

After making your first chest, you do things like plant crops (not too many at once. You don't want to overextend yourself), fishing, and foraging.
After several days, the mines will be opened, and you can start digging up things. You'll want to get ores and smelt them.
----
Overall, don't try to do everything in one day. Just pick a thing to work on for that day.
(One of your bigger goals is to gain skill levels, which make your tools more efficient, and unlock crafting recipes)
