New update items showing as error items
Ever since the 1.4 update every new item from it registers as a error item. We've tried uninstalling it, removing mods, new games, and I even contacted Chucklefish a few days after the update and never heard anything back.
Fish eggs and clothing pop up with Strings:and a bunch of code as their details, while things like the new rewards (rock candy?) from the meseum just shows up as a error item and I can't do anything with it.
The jojo movie theater collection also won't have 2 of the items pop up- the fish and the fish eggs. Nor with the tea plant give me tea leaves, and the sewing/clothing cut scene won't trigger either.

The only mods I'm currently running are expanded, mighty nein, and the tracktor mods. I contacted expanded's creator and they said it's not from their end.

If anyone has a way to fix this it would me super loved.

Have you removed all mods entirely and fully reinstalled the game (including deleting the entire SDV folder to get rid of any files that wouldn't be deleted by the uninstall). Then launched it without mods to see if it still does it. If it's doing it on an absolutely clean save then it's not a mod issue.

Edit: I use over 300 mods and haven't experienced this so it sounds like you may be running a mod that's either breaking something and you don't know it or the base files are corrupted somehow.

I think reinstalling the game would work.

We already tried that. Going to try the post above your's tips and see if that works. My husband installs all the mods for me so I gotta wait for him to have time to do it all.
