Can I leave barn/coop door open?

I really don't want to go out of my way each night and morning to open and close it, I have enough to do already.

That makes sense because they'd get fed from the silo in winter, thanks for the answer.

I've heard that they get grumpy when the door's open on a rainy day or in winter, but not sure

It's if they go outside when it's raining or during winter last I checked.

I keep mine open all the time, but have a stone wall/fence around the front so they cant go too far on my farm, and cant get stuck outside at night.

they only get grumpy if you trap them outside of the barn overnight. exept from that it dosnt matter for them if the door is open or closed over night if they are inside.
