My favorite is Stardew Valley Extended. Check it out on Nexus Mods for Stardew Valley. Its amazing - new locations, new characters, modified story lines. I also love chests anywhere - you can carry a chest in your inventory, plop it down somewhere and access all your other chests. Also like the mod that gives you an elevator for the skull cavern. Seasonal villager outfits is cute if you are bugged by the characters wearing the same clothing and summer clothes in winter. All on the nexus mods for stardew valley site.
Stardew Valley Expanded, UI Info Suite, Bigger Backpack, Skull Cavern Elevator and all of the PPAJ mods for sure.

Hard to pin a few down as I use like 300 mods currently.

Definitely automate mod. That's the best of all time. As for chests anywhere, it's also brilliant, and you don't actually need to carry a chest around. Just hit the "B" key (by default) and it will pull up your chests. I used the mod for probably a year before realizing that myself. If you thought it was an awesome mod before, just you wait :steamhappy:

If you wanna basically cheat then use chests anywhere, automate is good but it starts to make the game boring since you don't even have to play after that. Personally UI mods, and texture mods are the easiest to play with since they don't break anything. Stardew valley extended is fun but is in the works. Just play around with what looks interesting to you on the nexus

about that one, i was always a bit hesitant to download it, question then would one still be able to play on existing save/load existing game and lets say about the farm layout for example the standard farm layout(on which i am currently playing at the moment and im on Y5) will things be modified/destroyed after installing that mod or nothing will change except everywhere else in the town? or is it recommended that one should start a new game?
It's recommended to start a new game since it changes everything including the farm. Also some mods don't work with stardew valley extended so be weary on that
The only way it affects the farm is if you install IF2R under the optional downloads as it replaces the standard farm. You can use any farm you want but IF2R was modified for use with the mod.
