Well, if it's exactly the end of summer then yeah, you should have cash on hand for fall crops.
Cranberreis are 240 each, and pumkins are 100, so that 1800 will be pretty tough to plant fall with, even if you're going small. Well, if you fish\forrage you should have money for seeds in a few days.

This most recent play through I’m doing I think I had around 40-50k.
And … I spent just about all of it on crops. I bought 48 Cranberry plants (which came to about 11k all on its own), 32 grapes, and at least 16 of everything else (to start with). I replanted Bot Choy, Wheat and Amaranth throughout the season, and I did a total of three plantings of Pumpkins (16 each) (one at the start, and then a second about a week later, then when the first crop came in, I replaced that one).
Of course, I prioritize sprinklers now, so I had enough to cover everything except the Corn I’d planted at the start of Summer. Otherwise I couldn’t handle watering that much.
Some people generate way more money than I do.
But it’s possible to do just fine with a lot less too.
Go at your own pace.
I aim to have 0g at the end of my first Summer simply because I'm in very dire need of better tools, to free the space for fish smokers, chests and paths for crab traps.
Copper is not enough to get rid of everything - and iron tools are quite costy at Year 1.
Joja route awaits...
I'm mostly concentrating on berries as my main income for the first year and in that regard the 1.1 patch in october 2016 made blueberries (lost 37,5 % of value) and cranberries (lost 42 %) way less profitable. Before that i probably would've gotten to like 300.000+ with ease, so for me personally, it actually got harder and there were no additional patches changing their profitability ever since then (the people in this thread back than could've used my strategy as well btw)
