Can you convert a single player game to multiplayer?

I started a single player game, but you can go to robin to build cabins? Will this convert it to multiplayer if I build a cabin?

Just something I was wondering.

Yes, but you can still play it SP regardless if you wish.

Yeah. Basically you need to build cabins and then the save file will appear in the Co-Op menu. you can still load it for singleplayer by just playing normally!

I know this is a bit old but question is still slightly relevant. is there a way to do this, but opposite? make a multiplayer world single player?

as mentioned above you can still play single player after you build cabins, but if you don't want some one back on your farm, you can give them the boot in game and then have Robin tear down the cabins.
