How can i change hosts for a farm?

I decided to start a farm and play with someone but for whatever the reason hosting tends to disconnect me from the internet alot, and the person im playing with has better internet and could probably host the game with no problems, is there a way we can just change hosts for the farm?

You'd need to give him your save file to host. Even then, I'm not sure if it would work since farmers are tied to Steam/GoG IDs.

I heard about that but i wouldn't know how to really do that successfully, we both own steam versions of the game by the way

Save files are located in your appdata folder.

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves

You could upload it to googledrive or something and let him download it and put it in his own folder.

Possible it might work but not guaranteed.

It doesn't really work unless you're willing to let them host as you and you are ok with starting off on zero all over again, maybe if you just started the game this would be an alright procedure,

i genuinely do not understand why can't this be simpler
