Which girl do I go for?

I'm in a quandary as to which of the Stardew Valley girls to make my wife. I've narrowed it down to two, but here's my impression of all of them:

Abigail: She's the first girl I got to know really well since our paths crossed often and I was able to befriend her quickly. She has a fun personality, but I found the exchange with her parents revealed that she was still kind of immature. Her attitude was very teenager-y-ish. That was something that kind of put me off. She likes video games though, which is cool.

Emily: Emily is a free-spirited wild child. I found her dance to be quite psychedelic. I find her a little too wild for my taste. I see her as more of an interesting good friend, but nothing more.

Maru: Maru is the brainy brainiac with her head in the clouds (or should I say, stars?). She's the intellectual type, but not really my type. She is cute, but she electrocuted me once which was not cool. I don't see myself with her.

Haley: Haley is the pretty blonde, and almost the stereotypical ditz. She cares a lot about her appearance and shopping, and the exchange she had with her sister when she refused to clean the house annoyed me. If she refused to do that, how eager will she be to perform farming chores? However, my outing with her when we went to see the cows was probably one of the best times I've had with any girl. When she fell off the cow and got all dirty, the look on her face was absolutely priceless! And she didn't get upset! She laughed it off, and I was also laughing. Here's the other thing – I have a thing for feminine blondes. If I do marry her, it will be to have an eye candy trophy wife. Not what I'd go for in real life, but this is a game, right?

Leah: It took me time to get to know this girl since our paths didn't intersect very often. She's got some interesting artistic talent, and she's quite the naturalist. She's down-to-earth and kind of pretty. I see myself building a life with her.

Penny: Penny is the last girl I got to know. I find we have very little in common and not much chemistry. Her mother is a mess, which is by no means Penny's fault, but still factors into the equation.

So I have it down to 2 girls: Haley and Leah. Do I give in to beauty and go with Haley? Or do I go with the more practical Leah?

Try Leah. I liked Abigail and Emily best, but if I have to go with some other female, I'd choose Leah. She has a strong opinion. Her 8 or 6 heart event proves that. Even though that her ex, Kel, wanted her to come back to the city, she refused. Haley... I've had some issues with her, but I don't dislike her.

I'd say... team Leah! You've pointed out all the differences of the girls nicely so, you already know more or less what to expect from each girl. Last thing is just all personal taste for the player.

Some people defend Penny saying she's not that bad, which she isn't but she doesn't float my boat. She gives me the vibe of, just waiting for that prince charming to come rescue her from her current life.

Haley's got that vibe of self centered blonde ditz, which slowly improves as you get to know her, but in the end... she feels like a trophy wife and less a wife that can take care of herself.

Maru... I'd think she'd forget she was married if she got caught up looking for stars...

Emily... she's fun... but might drive you batty after a while.

Abigail as interesting as she comes across as, feel like she's still trying to find her own direction in life. She's still got a little growing up left to do, but maybe some people enjoy taking the road together?


Anyways, Leah ftw (for me). Who knows, maybe next time she says to ignore the banging coming from her place...

I don't think she's against making money, more like she just enjoys not stressing about things like she had to back in the city. Besides I don't think someone who says this is against making some money, more like she's focused on her work and she has struggles of her own as well.

She's not exactly used goods, I mean, she had a jerky ex (if you got far enough in her relation to find it) and just decided she wants to not stress out over everything anymore.


PS, 1st time I played the game, I thought she was Robin's little sister due to how similar they looked and lifestyle. Robin lives with her family up in the mountains away form the town, Leah in a cottage out from the town in the foresty area with Marnie's family as a neighbor. Both have similar looks and dress sort of similar, with slightly different colors.

Demetrius got mad at me for trying to romance both his daughter and wife... and his step son.... and his backyard neighbor....

Tbh, they all are kinda meh.
Leah is cutie, but fact, that she already had bad experience in relationships made me exclude her from passion list. Abigail is almost as braindead as Haley, which may seem intresting on paper, but terrible per se. Emily is fun, but Im too old to consider her spiritual interests as something good. Maru... if only she was more Leah (if it make sence)... :/ And Penny... well... Penny is Penny. Unsure if these two are intrested in relationships at all.

Overall - forget about it. Grow your farm, make money, befriend Wizard. Accept pet, if you wish. But relationships? Worth it only for achievement.

Yeah Leah is the most solid choice if she didn't have a bad relation that she's time to recover from, but you're forgetting the TRUE best gril!

What do you mean? I am most certainly murdering, incessantly, every day and I since I now have a partner we are twice as efficient and we plan to keep this up forever!
