Lost Sword
When I first entered the mines there was a small cutscene where i was given a sword, but my inventory was full, so it went to a weird gift box thing. Does anyone know where I can access that or even get a new sword?

The menu you're probably talking about is where it makes you choose which item to drop. If you closed it, the sword's gone. The rusty sword sucks anyways, so it's no real loss. You can use your scythe as a weapon until you either get another sword from a monster drop or loot crate, or gain access to the Adventurer's Guild and can buy a new one for probably around 500g.

use scythe till you will find mace, haha

PROTIP: dont buy stuff from guild, till you will get lava katana avalaible - its all sux and you will get better from chests between biomes inside mines and drop

anything can be weapon if you swing it hard enough
Idk about not buying weapons at all until lava katana. I managed to find poseidons trident from fishing and it carried me a long time thankfully but by the time i reached 80+ 10ish damage wasnt cutting it and i would be wasting too much time on the little guys with helmets.

Bone sword was a life saver and only costs like what 8k? Nothing really.

Yeah, the Scythe is a basic weapon.

Once you've completed the introductory quest that lets you into the Adventurer's Guild, Marlon will sell you swords. I'd suggest buying the Wooden one for 250, it'll be an upgrade and will help with the early levels.

After that, you'll start finding better weapons in the mines.

Make purchasing a larger backpack a priority. The starting 12 slot pack is really too small.

Also, you can put a chest in that little room at the top of the mine. Use that chest to store stuff you don't want to carry when you head down. That'll make things a little easier in the beginning, until you can afford the backpack upgrade.
