Sadly, this does not answer the question. It gives an excellent guide for each individual, but, not the single best universal gift. I had already spent ages scanning it, but, no one item stands out as obvious. I no longer have a spreadsheet on my computer and I have to one hand type these days anyway, so have not tried to work it out. I thought that there might be another player out there who had wondered the same thing and actually tackled the proble.
Lol, I am showing my OCD here.
But, this does not answer the original question. Without a cheat, there is no way to obtain nearly endless supplies of prismatic shards or rabbits foot.
The answer will be something much more prosaic, like a turnip or a pepper! Something anyone can obtain a lot of early in the game to give out on greet from as near to the start of the game as possible. It is also an item which nobody hates ot dislikes. Knowing this would get a minium of a neutral boost (+20) to each villager friendship rating twice a week. Being either liked or loved would be a bonus, and one or two such items must be liked or loved a bit more often than any other. Someone must know the answer!
Thank you, Wilco, your reply is much appreciated, but, no, you did not.
The question was not "Love" gifts.
Coffee gets very close to the answer, and is the best so far, but, it still is not available in the spring or summer of year one.
It is just basic friendship building and how to get an early boost with everyone without getting a negative from anyone. I have not tried every vegetable, but so far, every one I have tried has had a negative response from at least one adult. Obviously, the kids will be different, there are only two so their preferences are easy to remember.
