Don;t think that can be accurately answered, many people have a preference, and who they think is best, probably isn;t best for everyone else, i think it's something that you have to figure out, marry who you think is best, cause like i said, it's personal preference.
If you're going to get married, go with the fluff and choose someone you like. The practical benefits of being married are too insignificant to be a factor.

Indeed, I don't see why you couldn't get married, divorced and remarried an unlimited number of times. Just erase your ex's mind through witchcraft (apparently that's how they do it in small rural towns), re-buy their love with stuff and re-marry them.
