I believe Joja Mart actually sells Sunflower Seeds for a cheaper price than Pierre. It is the only instance that buying from Joja Mart is better.

Nah. Jojamart's prices are identical to Pierre's IF you have bought the membership. Otherwise, they're much more expensive, except for sunflower seeds. Considering the membership is an additional 5000, it's safe to say Pierre's is much better in every way, except where sunflower seeds are concerned.

jojo's is open on wednesdays and till 11 PM.

Jojo's allows you to complete community center projects with Dolla dolla bills yo.

and i think jojo's is closer to the mine cart portal.

I could see doing Jojo's route.

if you go the community center route pierre's will be open 7 days a week after it's restored

Also wheat is slightly cheaper at Joja Mart. It makes it better since the profit margins on wheat are pretty thin.

Yeah those jerks, fixing the minecarts and the bus and the bridge and restoring the decrepit, decaying infrastructure of the neglected Pelican Town and providing jobs, goods and services to the community.

Like, 90% of the town is unemployed, their town is literally crumbling, and Joja is SO evil for coming in, providing competition (free market? not in muh pelcin townz!) and community service. You're gonna have to explain how you reached the conclusion they're "antagonists" because their actions do not reflect those of an antagonist.

The only reason I can conceive of why people hate Joja is blind anti-capitalism. If it's something different, please feel free to educate me.

I t'n probably got a lot to do with the fact that their spokesperson is something of a douche.

Also the intro to the game alludes to how mindless and soul-consuming it is to work for them, which is THE reason you as the protagonist moves to Pelican Town in the first place.

aside from your character quitting jojamart at the beginning to live a better life and every character (2) who works at joja mart hating it, there's also the fact that morris is trying to crush pierre's with ridiculous deals from cheap, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ products and then employ pierre at a ridiculously low salary. they don't provide any of that ♥♥♥♥ for free, it's much more expensive to go the jojo route, not to mention after pierre punching morris through the roof and shutting jojamart down you are given the "stardew hero of the year" award. it's not exactly subtle that joja are the antagonists
