Proof of partial compatibility:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect Xbox Series X Controller (the new xbox controller) to PC. Used Bluetooth for the screenshot, but also reproducible connecting directly to PC using USB C.
2. Launch the game through steam
2.1. Open Big Picture, then launch the game using the controller
Launcher would open, but the launcher is not controlled by the controller. The only way to start the game would be to use keyboard and mouse. Once the game starts, the game also does not detect the new xbox controller.
Current Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600
GPU: AMD RX 5700XT
Memory: 32gb
OS: Windows 10
I am using RX 5500 XT and i3 10100f and 8gb ram. I am using vga to hdmi adapter. can we please get a decent solution for black screen issue?
edit: how can I use dxvk on steins gate linear bounded phenogram? creating GATE folder and copying dvsk x32 to it doesn't work.
Just download the link mentioned in this post then copy everything inside x32 folder and paste it inside the game folder and thats it! you are good to go
After launching S;G, instead of starting the game it gave me this error http://prntscr.com/zdnv5a
Also the exact same error for S;G Linear Bounded Phenogram
http://prntscr.com/zdo5lf
In S;G0's case, it crashes right after launching the game itself (it shows a black screen with the pointer for 1 second then it crashes
And then we have S;G Elite, where it shows this weird error and I can't press Retry or anything from that window at all (I also have to close it via Task Manager or I can't close it at all)

I tried almost any solution I saw in this thread but neither work, including reinstalling the games
16.0 GB RAM
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz
NVIDIA GTX 1050
Can someone find a good possible solution to fix it?
I have played around 12 hours of game, it was working fine.
Now the game launches normally, but gets stuck on a "Loading System Data" screen.
The onedrive solution (set documents to "this pc only") does not work, and I have no antivirus running.
This feels like a problem with my PC or corrupted save data. Reinstalled the game and even Steam, problem still happens.
Any thoughts? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!
I found a way to fix this - Basically I went to the folder C:\Users\Username\OneDrive\Documentos\My Games\mages_steam\STEINS;GATE\eng
Thats the folder for the english version of the game (I noticed that when downloading the japanese version the game worked)...
So basically delete everything inside of that folder. To be safe, in the settings of the game (inside of steam), choose to not keep the game files in the cloud, this option is off for me.
Hope this helps other people facing this issue!
Also a video tutorial made by me if instructions above are not clear enough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm2xn6sn4VE
First of all, my Windows is 10, I have 64 GB of Ram and the DirectX version is 12.
The game works in Window mode but every time I try to put the game on Full Screen it fails.
If I try to change the Menu before starting the game, this appears:
"Display Initialize Error"
If I try to change from the main game menu or by pressing Alt + Enter, this appears:
"display mode error"
I really don't know what to do, can someone help me please? My DirectX is 12.
In games, it doesn't matter what direct x you have installed, they run on their own directx version. Try the Vulkan dxvk method presented above. You never know what the result might be.
Also there might be problems depending on your screen. Are you using something like a 4k or ultrawide monitor?
Provide more specs like cpu/gpu/resolution/. In the end the easiest solution for any trouble would be to pay for (or try for free within it's 1hr limit) GeForce Now.
And no, my monitor resolution is 1920 vs 1080. I don't have a second screen yet, it's a notebook.

【Processor and Graphics】10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H 2.60GHz 6-Core Processor (12MB Intel Smart Cache, up to 5.00GHz) and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 Graphics

【Ports and Operating System】1 x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (always on), 3 x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1 x USB-C 3.2 (DisplayPort), 1 x HDMI 2.0a, 1 x Mic / headphone combo, 1 x RJ45 ethernet, 1 x Kensington lock slot
I used winrar, and "Copy all dlls from extracted dxvk-<version>/x32 directory to created GATE directory"
I did as described in the comment copying the x64 folder (DLLS) since my windows is 64 bits and it keeps giving the same problem.
Pretty sure the game is a 32bit application so you'd have to use the 32 bit dlls, not 64.
Try to debug if your game is running on the integrated gpu or the dedicated gpu.
Try running it on both. Pretty sure you can disable one or the other, or there might be an option to select it when right clicking the desktop icon "Run with-> Nvidia GPU/Integrated GPU" or something along those lines.
Not sure as i haven't had an Nvidia laptop in a long time.
Another option off the top of my head to avoid troubleshooting a game where devs won't help you is to create a bootable USB drive with Linux with persistent storage (there are some gaming distributions out there like Manjaro). Boot off of the USB, install steam, install the game on the same USB and play off of it.
Some other things to try are installing the Comittee of Zero patch or refunding the Steam version and trying the JAST one.
Wish you all the best!
About "if your game is running on the integrated gpu or the dedicated gpu.",
how do I see it? In the task manager appeared "GPU 0 - 3D".
Here, too, only the "Run" option appears. There is no "Run with" either on the desktop icon or if I right click on the game inside the original folder. And the option of having to tinker with Linux doesn't seem very exciting to me. Somebody help please. And Wikidude, thanks again.
Lacking information or logs, I assume the game always uses the first playback device it finds and ignores all others, including what is set as the default device in Windows. Then, if that device is marked as inactive or is otherwise unusable, the game crashes.
I haven't found a workaround, the game just refuses to work otherwise.
