This game have two main endings, but only one of them is true. And 1 ending for each minor character.
This game have six checkpoints. If you get 1 - 5, you will have Kurisu ending. If you get 0 checkpoints you get a Mayuri ending.
If you want to get a "good" true end, you shoud get 6 checkpoints. After the titers the game will continue.
It is as you say - the Kurisu ending and the true ending are the exact same - until the credits. Then the true ending gets more stuff. So if you’re in true ending route, you will see all that the Kurisu ending has to offer.
