Steins;Gate on Linux via Valve's Proton

Hi!

I'd like to ask here, if there's anyone, who managed to successfully run Steins;Gate on their GNU/Linux machine via the new developed Wine fork called Proton?

I am running on Arch Linux 64bit and I made sure to check, if Steins;Gate is compatible with Proton on this website: "https://spcr.netlify.com/search?q=steins;gate". Most people say yes (on Ubuntu-based distros), but some of them, running on Arch Linux, mention digging some files.

For example: "You must to disable your joysticks launching the system32\control.exe manually using proton and their STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH" - someone says,

or: "Go to ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/412830/pfx and run "rm z:; ln -s ~ z:". Apparently the game tries to write to "/My Games" (which doesn't work since it is not root!), but is perfectly happy with "~".".

Can anyone tell me, how am I supposed to do that? I tried looking for the "pfx" directory in " ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/412830", but unsuccessfully.

When it comes to the first manual, I will be honest, I have no clue, what the author meant there. If in someway you're reading this, please explain.

I'm running Manjaro 64bit, which is based on Arch, and Steins;Gate is running just fine using Proton.
I simply went into Steam settings > Steam Play, here I checked the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" box and chose the Proton 3.7-6 Beta as my compatibility tool. Not sure if there really is anything else to be considered in Arch.

Yeah, I already figured it out. I reinstalled Steins;Gate and after that it ran prefectly fine. I totally forgot about this thread, so thank you!
