How do I get 'Skip' to fast forward?
OK so I managed to lose my progress (i got to just after the first meeting in themaid bar). I thought that I was ok quick saving but when i rebooted teh computer and tried to quickload... nothing.

Manual saving seems to work ok but now I have a lot, a lot, of spam clicking to do.

How do I get teh fast-forward function to work? I press 'E' and the 'skip' icon appears on the bottom right but then nothing happens.

am I doomed to spam clicking for the next hour or so?

To skip "unread" text, use Ctrl. Yes, I know you already read that text, but because your progress wasn't saved, the game is treating the text as unread. Just use Ctrl to get up to where you were.
