Update: This noclip trick allows you get past Damir getting stuck before the cave and lets you crawl under it as well. Hope it helps! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1682349291
I finally made it past the furthest point I had gotten previously due to the one where he won't jump down the ledges to get to the part where he boost you up on to a ledge. I had to replay a LOT.
I encountered another one where the road goes off to the west edge of the map, and you walk in through what looks like the fuselage of a rusted out airplane. After a short way inside, there are some dogs, and then a section where a Tribal is waving a torch, and he says he will help you as soon as you take out the two guards (Well, there are 3 guards, but whatever...) and he never comes back to that little rolled up ladder that he's supposed to lower down so you can climb it.
It worked fine the first time I played that section, but after restarting the Chapter because of Damir's bug, now this area is bugged.
I'm going to try the DX switch to see if that helps it.. Only problem is, I won't really know, since I'm now in another section of the map, and if I go back, how will I know what fixed it. Unless.. I get there and it's bugged, and then I switch and it works. Still going to try it once I get out of this section I'm in now.
I did yeah, the footage doesnt show but this is after the "hold E" prompt. I've tried multiple ways: letting him go first, going first, crouching, not crouching, etc.
Yeah, nah. I'm not installing that on my machine. Guess I'll try switching Direct X modes and if that doesn't work oh well. I'll watch someone else's playthrough. I hate re-playing content I've already done. Thanks though!
I appreciate your response, and while I'm aware it's a bit cringe it's fine. It's just that I play a lot of Hunt: Showdown and I'm not sure how Cheat Engine works (not to mention obtaining it from a dubious source) and I'd hate to use it for this singleplayer game and have some DLL leftover on my machine after I'm done using it and get flagged for cheating elsewhere. I have enough games in my library that I'll just move on for now and start over with Metro in a few years when I grow bored or feel like re-visiting it. There's plenty of other things to play I suppose, I was just really enjoying the game.
