Gamebreaking & Savebreaking bug - stuck spot in Desert map

I don't know what the place is called.

Remember the cave that leads into the underground abandoned town? I wanted to go back there after I'd done the quest just for exploration's sake. Anyway, you can't crawl through the crawlspace at the end, and to get out you have to go back the way you came, which is incredibly tough to do as you need to do a ton of jumps. However, the weird part is that the entrance to the ravine to even get there now has an invisible wall to stop you from getting back into the map. So literally both sides that allow exit are now walled off and there's nothing you can do.

Because of this, and autosaving, I lost a 20+ hour playthrough and I'm not really interested in playing it through again just because of this one bug. I doubt this will be fixed, but I hope it does.

ahh.. 'now' i know where you were. yeah it's a trap that's caught plenty of others including me. i went back for collectables but was lucky enough to have a quicksave to get back out.

I had no idea it was a stuck spot and spent a good 20 minutes looking around. So I can't get out and I've lost all my progress, along with any motivation to play the game.

Asking for a fix is useless since you shouldnt go back to the bunker. Devs better focus on other bigger problems but i dont think they will bring out a new patch ever for this game with bugfixes. I hope they do, but i dont think that.

You can restart chapter Caspian so you wont lose all progress, or did you spend 20 hours in 1 chapter? However, you have no other choice.

ok. shame about motivation. maybe come back later after a bug fix or two but i doubt that'll be fixed. there are too many other issues that i suspect will be addressed first. good luck.

Do Metro Exodus actually have a no clip cheat code? If yes he could move out the bunker then.

yeah i noticed. i did say, if interested 'try' here. (never assume that just because a comment makes a claim it's true or correct) besides, even if it doesn't work at the moment it'll likely be updated again some time.

different bug mate. OP's problem was they 'returned' to that area after the Damir / 'water' mission and found themselves trapped. unfort that vid is about 'another' bug where Damir get's stuck and won't move.

The entrance collapses into a slope afterwards, which I assumed implied we could go back. On returning, you can climb that slope.

I am actually stuck in this stupid Oasis entrance place right now. As far as I know there is no way out after you complete the quest. Supposedly you can get out if you explore before you meet Damir. When I went to restart the level though, it restarted with different guns and only half my mods! It's one thing to make an accidental 'trapped' section (which makes no sense and is just annoying), but another one to not let you keep your stuff if you have to restart.
So, I am assuming there is no "hole" in the invisible wall to jump through? It sounds stupid, but someone said they were able to jump from a "catwalk to some rocks" and got out.

And I know absolutely nothing about game development, but would it take a long time to put out a patch that removes the invisible wall? I'm sorry if that reads sarcastically - it's a legit question.

pretty sure there is no way out but if you heard something about a catwalk-jump then maybe it's doable. i do know that OP searched high and low and so have a lot of other people with no success. anyone who finds the secret exit to the casio trap will be a hero in The Caspian. gun bug is unfortunate.
