Rex Marks the Spot - 300 opals thunder egg

When I collected 300 opals and went next to the thing to trade them, the action button didn't appear on screen as it usually does to provide visual feedback that the trade is ready and that I collected every opal in the level. I exited the level and tried again, but it still wouldn't appear. I was still able to get the thunder egg by normally pressing the action button, but I think the instruction to press the action button is supposed to appear.

This happened to me in one of the other maps too. I just walked back and forward until it popped up for a millisecond and tried to time it. And it worked perfectly. :)
