Speedrun and Hardcore Queries
1. How do you make it onto the speedrun leaderboards? Do you just play the game and your time gets added once you finished?
2. I see there's separate catagories for a "regular" run and a 100% run, will a 100% run also count in the regular category?
3. Do cheats disable achievements or have any other detriment, because there's also a (cheat) speedrun category?
4. What exactly does hardcore mode do and does it have to be a separate save file?

1. Yes, but the time is inaccurate. ~1min (i think because of the loading screens/cutscenes)
2. Yes, but u don't need all cogs, opals and eggs.. to finish the game. (for regular)

Can't answer the first two, but I can answer the last two. Cheats do not disable achievements, but can't be used in Hardcore mode. Hardcore mode completely disables cheats and you have only one life; it's on a separate save file.

Thank you! Can you still save in hardcore mode?

Not whenever you want. You gotta rely on the autosave.

That's alright as long as I don't have to do it in one run.

Thank you! That's what I was hoping for.

Oh, thank goodness! I was worried that it would be like Doom Eternal’s Ultra-Nightmare difficulty, where one death deletes your save file. It seems my fears are unfounded.

IIRC, it *does* delete your save file. It's really easy to cheat the system though; you just gotta be prepared to lose an entire level's worth of progress if you die, provided that you're save scumming.

To be honest, that's one thing that makes me leery.
