you could probs just ask Steve Stamatiadis on twitter if your headcanon has any legitimacy or not
i dont think you can, at this point, really convince anyone here
Sorry if this comes off super negative and mean spirited.

If something like appearing gay is easy to spot just by a simple observation and understanding how gay and straight people act and dress.

It's not a simple head cannon, fan fic, or hopeful wishing. It's a bit more complicated than that. It's like how if you know manorism of how a sexual orientation acts than it's easy to tell the person is gay or not.

Just because, something didn't seem gay years ago doesn't mean it's not gay. Look at the 90s villains in Disney movies. They were hevilly queer coded but, kids wouldn't have known it at the time.

Things like a necktie is heavily favored in the gay community especially submissive bottoms. Which isn't a stereotype. It's just become so common now.

It's very hard to argue that ty has aged less as a straight character. An aged more like a character that's slowly become more game based on how he talks and dresses.

I'm sure that wasn't the intent. But, intent generally requires redesigns to keep the original intent in mind . Otherwise, if you look up fan art of ty. Most art of ty is more gay than straight.

An , some of the art is a mix of old and new fans. So it goes back to the issue of intent, and hopeful thinking. Ty just fits into the gay vibes moreso than straight.

You continue to show how delusional you are. I have no issue with gay characters being represented, but your incessant need to inject homosexuality in places that it doesn't exist (like in a place where there is no sexuality) is creepy and sad. It's a kids game. There is no sexuality. Disney villains are not "queer coded". If the characters were meant to be gay, they'd be written to be that way, and they aren't.

As we all know, everyone is completely asexual until they turn 18.

Most fictional characters for children's programming effectively have no sexuality. At least not in the era that this game was made. Back then that stuff didn't matter and people didn't worry about it like a bunch of weirdos. I'm not talking about the kids watching it, just the fictional characters that people would create back then.

Again, not EVERYTHING, but in general. A great example: SpongeBob.

You never had a crush on any fictional character? Personally I was/am fond of Raven from Teen Titans and Tali from Mass Effect. Granted, I would say Ty specifically is made for a younger audience, but my point still stands.

Could it be that perhaps it was you who ignored the relationships in the children's narrative? That others picked up on something that you did not focus on?
Further, I don't think its that weird to speculate on a (real or otherwise) character's choice in romantic partner. People question what other people see in their choice of romantic partners all the time. Look at how ridiculously concerned people are with the relationships of their celebrities. It's a constant topic of discussion.

I acknowledge that spongebob is one of those examples where relationships are not touched upon. I can't really argue with that example. Actually that make alot of sense because he is a sponge.

But for specifically Ty, the only romantic relations are not subtle or hidden, its him and Shazza across all games (then sly and Naomi at the end of Ty 3), its plain in your face damsel in distress romance. No Ken is not gay nor does he have any relations with anyone, it simply wast added into the game, all he is is a caricature of Steve Irwin who loves wildlife and appreciated your help (like every side quest character in every game ever). Dennis however, most likely designed to be an effeminate male that arguably negatively plays into 2000's stereotypes of homosexual men by being cowardly and weak, Ty 3 fixed that and i cant remember but i think he still came off as queer from when i played growing up.

(for Dionnrunk)
And i mean all of this with absolutely zero hate and im trying not to come off as a homophobe but there is no hidden gay meaning to Ty. keep it as a head canon, i've read all the "evidence" but none of it is proof and it comes off as just crazy over analysing every detail while ignoring the very obvious shazza X Ty dynamic (i mean they spend all of ty 2 together with Ty as her passenger and kiss multiple times)

spongebob is really a bad example. Non of the characters even come off as gay . So I dont know why your using spongebob. However that fact remains the character ty and some of his characters have aged more into the gay side than straight leaning as intended by the game manual.

Yeah no . Your just very dismissive of facts and rush to insult people .

Why do you dismiss every fact that shazza and ty are in a relationship? The booklets tell you verbatim, the games show you and yet you read into things like how he wears a tie and how gay that is and it's comically absurd.
One might say that it's a homophobic assumption.

One might, I'd lean towards offensive but mostly chronically online brained insane, I just can't decide if it's so pathetic that it's funny or too painful

(Hahaha comments are getting removed that's crazy)

SIX pages of posts speculating on whether or not a character from a twenty year old game for children is gay. Bless you, steam forums.

I can't be the only one who finds this to be VERY funny, so much so I always burst out laughing for real when I go through this thread.

I think its something about Ty's personality that makes me want to kiss him on the mouth. Lets face it - he's adorable.
