Tips for 100% Hardcore

Firstly, can I just alt+f4 and revert to last save if I see death coming lol? I don't think I'll need it but for some reason the 1st and 3rd boss gives me issues unlike it did on the Gamecube version of the game (I wish I had a gamecube controller for pc so bad, like a legit one). Any tips for those 2 bosses would be greatly appreciated before I try this montrosity.

I found that you can just pause the game and select Exit Level anytime I'm down to 1 hit left. Doesn't affect anything other than having to start the level from the beginning again.
I also have problems with the 1st and 3rd bosses too though.

I got the achievement but yeah 3rd Boss has the worst hitboxes in the universe in that 1st phase.
