Is this game playable with the ps2 Visuals

looking at the images it looks like this version of the game has dynamic lighting and some level of fluid dynamics applied to the water, my 2 questions are:
Am I right in saying that these are applied to this game and were not in the original Ty?
Can I turn it off for aesthetic reasons?

You can customise the look of the game a great deal, from texture size, Shadow quality, bloom, SSAO to enabling or disabling special effects (the water reflections have a ps2 style option, as well as three levels of detail for enhanced reflections).
