Ok, too bad. People want to enjoy things the way they want to. That's like saying you hate to see people play videogames for fun. They bought it with their money, they can enjoy it the way they want.
I don't think anyone has claimed this to be a great game. From what I can tell it's just a simple mindless button masher with some T&A thrown in for good measure. Heck, I don't even know what this games called.
In my mind it just called "Something beginning with S : Something something versus AKA the one with the titties".
Definitely not overrated.
And yet you're okay with DMC4, Onechanbara Z2 and Akiba's Trip?
Gameplay-wise, I'm still trying Senran.
-Akibas is pretty silly, but y'know, I bought the game, gotta play it (same for this one). Its pretty funny to "break" the clothes using Zui Quan moves, though (considering my main characters in DOA5/Tekken were Brad Wong/Lei Wulong).
-Onechanbara isn't THAT great game, but I found it funnier and more complex than what I saw on SKXV until now (maybe it'll change when I get more hours of SK, who knows). At least the tag change combos, and the 8 different weapons/moves from the 4 characters can give us some new oportunities to develop combos.
-DMC doesn't even need arguments. Best and most complex H&S game imo. And through mods, things might get complicated with the new difficulties. Well, the story isn't great as seen in DMC3, but the game mechanics are very good.
"Dante on heaven, Vergil on earth."
Not going to talk about MGR:Revengeance, Dynasty Warriors, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, or any other.
I'm not saying that Senran Kagura is a bad game. The story isn't that bad, but is bad developed due to the huge focus on the fanservice and it kills my hype about it.
Well, instead of only recommend/not recommend, we should have a "so-so" option, too. Or qualify it as "Terrible, Bad, So-so, Good, Awesome". I don't have the game, but I don't like it that much, either.
Again, don't flame me, this is MY personal opinion.
DONT FEED THE TROLLS
Am I trolling? I have no intention to troll anyone but I'm still surprised people keep replying to this thread nearly two weeks. It's my fault for such thread title but I'm still believe this game got too many credits than it deserves. It's not a terrible game but I'm tired of people praising this game for fanservice alone and nevermind the rest.
By the way I'm tired to see too many people behaving like an overly-exited 8-years old boys in Christmas mornings before unwrapping their presents(I'm not a Christian) just because they knew what's waiting for them. Yes this game have tons of fanservice and that's the reason why people are buying this game but they failed to highlight the flaws that come with this game as well. For example there is no proper "exit to windows" button and instead I'm forced to press alt-f4 to quit the game. How can the devs forgot such simple function in first place?
I know most people don't bother themselves with that as they aren't care at all. This game is a good example of Steam's flawed review systems and mentality of their users as well. I agree with Rig's proposal of "neutral" options to balance the ratings.
Please do not compare this game with more mainstream ones like Call of Duty and Overwatch because while those two are obviously overrated from general perspective but most people aren't play those games for fanservice alone, unlike this game. As for this game when its fanservice wears off, it just a shallow hack-and-slash games with clunky controls unless you have a controller. The PS3 exclusive Bleach: Soul Resurrecion is better than this game in term of gameplay, story and controls.
