Working "Un-censored" mod

Up there is where I found the mod that I use to remove all light beams and character face drawing forms of censorship from the game. Finally you can play the game and just look at the barbie doll models and ask yourself "why did they censor this?"

They 'censor' it to make you think there is something underneath. It isn't any different than the gag censorship of Hajime No Ippo.
If they actually rendered the male genitalia under the mosaics then relesed the uncensored version on DVD/Blu-ray, it would likely have to be recategorized as gay porn interspersed with the occasional boxing match.

Didn't realize that, honestly I don't watch too much anime, I just am passionate about game design and dislike censored games. Espeically when it appears to be censored for no reason. I feel like most forms of censorship are little more than an eyesore that takes away from the overall enjoyability of the gaming experience.

Well they kinda have to censor it. Goes from rated M to AO and that reallllly kills the market as you'll have much less distributors willing to take on your game. Hell, doe steam even have any AO rated games?

The only ones are Hatred and sort-of HuniePop. I say sort-of as there is an officially supported mod that restores all of the content cut from the Steam version of HuniePop to avoid being given an AO rating.

I don't see a reason to make a game with naked barbie dolls A/O. That's madness. Censorship has gone way too far in my opinion and should be abolished.

That's the point of the censor bars. As someone said, it let's you THINK there's something underneith.

The barbie doll thing would be a lot weirder than censoring, so they opted for censoring instead.

it wouldn't be weider, it would be a better way to release the game in my opinion. I'd rather see fake people that don't have nipples or genetalia than a bright light from nowhere, a random slash of white on the screen, a black bar or drawings of the character's face thrown over the model.

It's better than a nude mod imo, no need to censor it either. it's a decent middle ground for a game with an art style like the senran kagura series.

Well also have to remember it's a direct port. I doubt they could have gotten away with it on console/handheld

From someone that have zero issues with nudity, I'm fine with this censorship. Is cute, is funny, and very much fits to the game.

But we are getting there. Soon, the adults with social influence will get enough maturity (that they claim to have) to stop seeing nipples as something abnormal, and devs will be able to add it to the nearests creations. Genitals will take a while.

This game wouldn't be AO if it had nudity. Have you ever seen The Witcher or Dante's Inferno?

Ok shifting the conversation away from the moral/legal stance, anybody get this to work? I direct copied and replaced the files in the v3 zip and when transforming the game just crashes.

I think the issue that would make it worse than those games is the use of nudity in the battles, rather than just showing it itself or having enemies start naked. Even with the comedic style, forcefully stripping someone like in SK would be considered sexual violence, which is a lot jmore serious than vanilla sex scenes. On top of that, you have stuff like the dressing rooms, where you can pull their clothes off and grope them... Yeah, this game would totally be AO.

On the subject of the mod, it seems a little finicky to work, so it's probably not worth the hassle until a full nude mod is made.

It is a bit tricky as you have to first activate uMod then set it to use Global Hook, start the game up normally then alt+tab out to go back to uMod then tell it to load up the nude mod zip of your choice (Nipples Exist or something similar). As soon as you return to the game, you will know if it worked or not by the title screen changing to have a new subtitle.
