Of course that matters in a role-playing game like Elex
Thieving and stealth are skills that aren't really tied to a faction. Neither is hunting, although again the Berserkers with their bows make for the best ranged hunters.
Neutral (like druids) - Zerkers
Chaotic - Outlaws
All factions have good, neutral, and evil thrown in.
There is no rush to pick a faction, go do quests for all three for a bit...pick the one that vibes with you.
- Clerics -> high cold
- Berserkers -> low cold
- Outlaws -> neutral cold
For ranged combat with bows, the berserkers. For energy/laser weapons the clerics.
It's hard to say the Clerics are lawful when there is no law left. Also, they worship a god which is fictitious like all gods, and they blindly kill for said god. Zealous is definitely a right word for the Clerics and zealots go in the chaotic category.
I refer to D'amarr's response:
Next up:
Not really. Plenty of examples to use but to name one, what is the 'good' side of the Outlaws?
That's definitely good advice!
It won't matter for Elex 2 though as events between games have Jax factionless again.
But i'll not spoil anything regarding that.
berserkers for medium balanced spells and stuff, also if you fancy arrows and bows there ya are
never did outlaws but from waht I know its bunch of use elex to craft consumables to reach even the portion of power of clerics when stacked, and outlaws only buff your ability to use more of those drugs at the same time (consumables) compared to not joining them.
Cleric faction has the most fleshed out story line that gives some pretty interesting insights about Magalan before and after the Cataclysm.
The alignment system doesn't fit all that well into the various factions unless you apply that system to some key individuals in said factions.
Edit: playing through each faction is pretty easy since you can do all the quests for each faction right up to the point where you are forced to make a choice to pick one. At this stage, make several saves so you can pick up another faction once you finish the previous.
