Elex Soundtrack

How do you guys think the soundtrack compares to other PB games? Personally it doesn't come close to Gothic 3, which had my favorite OST of all time.

I played Elex 105 hours it got a big overworld and nice story, but the combat is puke first class, and the music is just not that good.

[Arcania] gothic 4 is very short not the best game in the series but it got the best loot and best combat mechanism, but excellent music almost epic.

Both great games stop sucking gothics e-penis please they all great in there own good way.
Every game got there flaws in Gothic 4 it was a short world not much to explore but excellent combat system and epic loot.

In Elex it was an excellent overworld design and quests, but with a zombie combat system the worst i have ever seen.

Gothic 3 had the best soundtracks of the series. No wonder, they hired Yann Tiersen, a french componist who already made outstanding music for several hollywood productions.

It might not be the best PB music (Gothic 3) ever but I stil love the music in Elex.

Hell no! Gothic 4 had the worst, Arcania was terrible in every single aspect.. especailly the combat, it had the worst combat out of any of the gothic games and was very dumbed down and not a challenge at all.

Hucast as in Phantasy Star hucast? Brings back memories.
To my knowledge, the Gothic series music was made by Kai Rosenkranz.
Liked Yann's music of Amelie a lot, memorable movie soundtrack. Didnt know he composed for Hollywood too, might look for it, could be good.

It seems you haven't seen much of the game yet. The full OST is more than 70 minutes long. Enough in there I find extremely well done and even memorable.

Yeah thats true, he is just not Kai and never will be, but all things considered, he did a remarkable job at creating some decent and adept atmospheric music for the game.
The only thing that i dont understand is how this soundtrack is worth money separately....there is nothing in there worth listening outside the game....and actually the same thing could be said about most of Kai's game music. Superb atmospheric effect but as a separate music listening? not so much, with the exception of Gothic 3 music of course, at least thats my 2 cents.

Awesome examples mesal, totally agree with you, except the developers have NOT forgotten the importance of good OST, on the contrary, rich companies hire the talents of composers like Jack Wall and Hans Zimmer to compose their OST for a reason.
Also companies like Spiders cherish the talents of wonderful composers like Olivier Deriviere with his memorable OST of Bound by Flame, and The Technomancer.
Olivier Deriviere also signed the wonderful soundtrack of "Remember Me", a memorable game too.
Also worth checking the impressive music of Styx, a true work of art.

Cannot go without mentioning the wonderful composer Kiril Pokrovski that created the unforgettable soundtracks of the Divinity games, i will always miss this guy.

Music in games is alive and well methinks.

Spellforce 3 is as new as games get, and the OST for that game is amazing, Gothic 3 level.

There is a couple of awesome tracks like goliet and highlands, the rest is ok (at least it does not too bad to be noticed during the gameplay), and the most of combat music is a big meh.

Would definitely be happy if someone added a mod to nexus that replaces the OST with Gothic 3's
