ELEX

Does the jetpack break the game?
I have played all previous PB titles, and one thing I always loved was that certain areas were blocked off by though enemies that you couldn't bypass.
But now, with the jetpack I can mostly fly over them. I managed to explore a large part of the map due to running, jumping, and flying around even at low levels.
Do you guys find this to be an issue? I feel like most of the time i play by trying to "cheat" the game.

Nope, because thats how PB want us to play Elex. Its not gothic:) The exploring without killing in the first 10+ h is how this game has to be played.

what a DUMB inexperienced Question ! Dood go play the game and find out ! NO it dosent it has its limits you cant reach the ionosphere lol nor can you stay forever in the air comes to it some monsters (many) shoot spit very targettet its not a i get always unchallenged away by using it. the recharge timer does its job very well to prevent continious use of it. Its just a nice movement possibility like in other games gliding made possible easy descends and the like.it makes travelling more pleasand the most time.

No the jetpacks opens up new levels of exploration. There are jet pack puzzles in the game. In some hidden locations you find very good items. Like the best items in the game.

There were even people here in the forums that lamented about the difficulty of some of the jet pack puzzles.

Yeah, i did the puzzle on the wind turbine, and found the crossbow. The puzzles are difficult because the movement mechanics are broked. I mean sometimes the character randomly dodges, or slides. This makes precise movements difficult.

With controller i got most in 3 tries. Wind mills, mine shafts, no problem, some moving platforms are tricky.

Agreed, controller is definitely the way to go for now imo. Give me an option to turn off the double tap dodge & KB/M will work fine. Just keep in mind your character has momentum & cannot snap directions immediately.

You can turn off double tap in the windows option. It is a button reactivity function.

It dont break the game but it make the game much easier.

I rememmber there were scroll of levithation in the Gothic series, and you had to work your ass off for that, i wish it was the same here, this jetpack is just there for the casuals i think, they should made it much harder to acquire.

Lol i love the references, and i also love the LOTR references, that dead adventurer with a very old and scrapped pic of Gimli, and in his diary it says that he wanan find these mysterious dwarf of the old world living inside mountains, lol if only he knew that it is just a fantasy book and not reality, lmao.

No its not. you need the jetpack for bosses and trolls. The only way reliably avoid being smashed by a troll's throwing stone is JETPACK.

Would you be so kind as to show me where I can find this option? This would completely fix kb/m for me!
