ELEX
I killed bertram..
I killed bertram for being a cleric disguised as a berserker

The only reason i did this is because i get a quest failed notice if i help him. That kinda drives my OCD crazy so i reloaded a prior save then killed him.

Angrim has got a point, if i didnt kill him he could give classified info to the clerics about the berserkers..But at the same time who the ♥♥♥♥ am i to kill him? I am literally an alb.. And i may even consider joining the clerics later

Does anyone know if letting bertram live pays off later?

There are no further interactions between the two of you.
You find him in the Training area in Hort. And he thanks you.
That's it

Perfect, thankyou so much. He gave off a child molester vibe anyways

There are more quests which contradicts each other. Help one guy, or other and there will be "quest failed".

He is a foreign agent enguaged in subversive activities. He is through his own ideas, intentionally seeking to undermine the Berserker's way of life and their security. He had the chance to leave many times, but chose to stay and spread his dogma and to attempt to recruit followers to his cause and faith. If you are going to join the Berserkers then by all rights his life is yours.

Such things were said also about Christian missionaries, or other people believe in other things. Dogmatism doesn´t allow discussion, and discussion is way of progress. He haven´t killed anyone, he haven´t sabotage their city, he simply spread his ideology.

No, they are all dying worlds. Gothic, Risen, Elex, etc. No children means that all people are sterile. So in all those games you fight for saving worlds which are already doomed to be destroyed, because without children they have no future.

That's....an interesting vibe to get off him. Totally non-sensical to me, but interesting you got that feeling.

As for me, he offered money for some junk guns (and w/ free lunch) when I was down on my luck. So I was totally chill with that. Plus Angrim's a total ♥♥♥♥ and I love pissing him off.

Also, if you have OCD about failed quests I have some bad news for you. A lot of quests when finished will automatically fail others.

Also as to the no-children thing. Pretty sure that's because of Germany. Just assume there are children off-screen.

Wait a moment... if every single person in ELEX is Sterile then........ whats the point of living...... or fighting....

That´s what I am saying. You saving worlds that are destined to die. Only thanks to you they will die peacefully.

Not like in Fallout, where I still don´t understood why they don´t use children to protect them from bandits and mutants. Children are immortal thanks to Zeta aliens. But they still hire you instead of children. Make no sense.

Meh if everyone on planet will die anyway, the best way to go away is by a big kaboom.

I should have been allowed to build a bomb that will destroy the whole planet.... i prefer to go away in fireworks rather than slowly dying.

Your therapist needs to have a long chat with you. The Thorazine and a comfy white jacket will be complimentary.

This. Get used to 'quest failed.' Its part of the game design.

Yup, exactly. One door closes and another opens. Or vise versa...
