Do you also sometimes hear a singing ghost?

Is there any meaning when you hear a singing melody and its kinda a ghost. It appears sometimes and is not rooted to a special area.
I think it has to do something with Elex.....

Well actually It cant be that easy bcause I heared her in ruins at EDAN in open space in TAVAR and also on open snowland in XACOR. But its still weird.

It is Elex. I'm assuming you learn more later but one of your followers has lots of quests revolving around this idea so its not your imagination.

Actually you can see the shadow of the little girl if your companion is crony, whit his lantern. I cannot remember the place sorry, i just can say it was in a building basement. Ruins I mean. I just got the f+++ off when i saw her lol

It is the element Elex, not to be confused with the game's uppercase name ELEX. Have you met Caja yet? If not, continue playing. She is the one with a personal quest related to Elex.

The sound(s) the OP was referring to, is I believe the sound of a rusty, metal door slowly closing, or possibly opening. I've heard a similar sound before by a female antagonist in a horror video game, but I can't put my finger on whether it was the Left for Dead, FEAR or Resident Evil series. It's reminiscent enough though, that I've wondered if it's a deliberate audio call-out by the ELEX dev team?

Anyhow... I can certainly understand a player mistaking it for the eerie singing by a girl ghost. I've only heard that sound when inside rusting buildings, or very close to them. The sound of Elex such as when you're adventuring with Caja, to me is a very different, ringing kind of sound.
