Chemistry etc.
Where the heck do you learn lockpicking and chemisty? I have been all over Hort, Abessa and Goliet and haven't met a single trainer. What the bloody hell.

I learned more lockpicking from one of the first trainers in the first city (Bersekers). Forget his name but it didn't take very long to get the pre-requisites I needed for Lockpicking training.

Have you looked on your map? Any trainers you've met and spoken to will be marked on their. There are at least four in the city limits...

The guy who basically acts as a fence in the berserker town. He's near the tavern. Alrik I think his name is.

Chemistry should be one of the 1st things that you learn in this game as converting elex to stat points is stupid good early on (and later on I'd imagine I'll be using the skill point variation).

On a related note - NEVER drink the small elex potions. You can use 2 half the normal elex needed to make a stat point one (inefficient to use this as your base way of making them, so just do it with the ones you find).

Yea I know. However I have found zero that teach the chemistry skill and lockpicking skill. Only reason I am asking becuase it is getting frustrating XD.

Probably need to look around some more. Seems to be trainers for every skill in every town with a few more out and about in the wilderness.

I'm sure lockpicking is Alrick, and I think he does pickpocketing as well.

Not at the point where I can learn either yet as don't have the requisite points, which is something else I have to consider in this game...

Edit because yes, was thinking of Alrik, had just typed it in another thread, brain crashed.

Lockpicking is not a social skill

It's a crafting skill, which means Alrik.

I found Alrik, but he didn't teach me chemistry, even I had the required stats, shards etc.

Make sure you scroll down in the learning menu - I have yet to find any trainer that doesn't teach EVERY skill in the category they train skills in, unlike in past PB games where you needed to find specific trainers for specific skills. So Alrik (house behind the bar) teaches every skill possible in the Crafting tree, Sinda (general store) every skill possible in the Personality tree, Hakon (house in Eastern-ish part of town) every skill possible in the Survival tree, and Cormag (house next to the Hotel with red flags) every skill possible in the Combat tree.

Yeah, not always obvious...fell for it myself - not that I have enough XP points to increase stats to get skills, but hey...
