Git gud... environment resistances. You can find a Survival trainer in Goliet (I think) when your can bump up your elementlal resistances, for a price (and when your skills are good enough).
However, I'm not sure if it applies to just weapons that deal that damage type, or those and the environment all at once.
Even with maxxed survival resists, a resist gem slotted, a resist ring and the resist mask the environmental toxic areas eat you quite quickly. Also I can honestly say I never found anything in any of them worth the bother. Your companions stop and wait outside the areas and if you come out on the other side you usually have to go back and fetch it and go around anyway as they rarely ever manage to path or warp to you once you are safely out. Big bother for little reward.
Absolutly false statement. Put on gas mask, eat some anti-poison stuff like antitoxin+latice meat soup and that would be enough to survive like 3-5 mins. And there are bunch of items in that "poison cloud houses".
Absolutly NOT false statement. He is not talking about the small amount of radiation inside a house. He is talking about the border of the map and he is right. If you want a close look at it go the lake at the volcano. Down there you should see a big ass monster and high radiation. Do you tricks there and tell us if it worked (spoiler alert: I did and died in a couple of seconds).
Why is this relevant?
Well because me and maybe others think there might be some hidden secret in the outlands. For example east of the fort there is a ruin behind a mountain at the end of the river drawn on the map. Why should they draw a ruin there if you arn't able to get there somehow?
Tried to (used the Mask you can buy from the outlaws and the anti radiation stim + soup. Had 1 point in Radiation defense too (survivability tree)) - didn't get far: At least i reached the ground and could run around like 5 sec. I glitched a little bit through the ground.
I do think that u are not supposed to go there, even though you can jump over the fence. I don't know why they didnt just do it like they did in the cleric stronghold where you cant jump over the fence bc u are blocked by an invisible wall.
But thats only my try - i am interested if anyone did it and how.
so either it is possible or its not. Another question is how the resistances are calculated. Additive like we are thinking or do they work mulitplicaitve so that would be 1.2*1.2*1.25*X while X is the lvl 2 perk..
my feeling it's +10 % each. but yeah didnt measure it.
they didnt do cold blockade consistently eg you can get to ignadon without going through gates. i was curious whether they've similar holes in radiation ring around map but it'd take ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long time to investigate so i gave up idea :P
I dont think that they have holes in th eradiation ring - i guess there are defined game regions and everything else is radiation zone. The cleric stronghold is part of the game region so you can easily get in there. I've only seen a small amount of those invisiwalls - its something good and new for rpgs that big (i still suffer trauma of the amount of invisible walls in Fallout 4 - you couldnt walk a meter without beeing denied of these)
