I use autohotkey, it's a shame that you've to rely on 3rd party program to change hotkeys.
Tell me if you need help with autohotkey (it's otherwise pretty simple to use).
On PC, the Evade control is unassigned by default, but you can simply assign an unused key to it as to enable this backstep action.

My issue is the option is greyed out kinda. I cant do anything with it. I either need that third party program or another suggestion.

To be more clear currently its bound to doubletab WASD and i cant change it.

I would be fine with 3x WSAD or holding alt while doing it or something. I simply have the issue of rolling around a lot when i try to walk.

Is it possible to remap mouse buttons in Elex using Autohotkey? I really need to remap the "forward" key to my RMB.

In the ingame options, there is an option to disable "double tap to evade". Do that and THEN you can assign a key to evade (I usually assign L-ALT).

I just want to clarify if anyone else is confused by this as well; In my case, I actually had to assign a key to evade with first - then the late disabled checkbox became clickable. It was also unchecked by default. But, in order for the checkbox to do what it was set to do - I had to enable it - go back to the game, then back to the settings and disable it again. Very strange, but it worked.

So much more enjoyable IMO! Not quite intuitive, but it works.
